Disneyland opened on July 17, 1955 in Anaheim, California. It is the only theme park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. Walt Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting various amusement parks and dreamed of one day creating a place where adults and their children could go and have fun together!

 Disneyland consists of two theme parks, Disneyland Park and California Adventure. There are three on-site Disneyland Resort Hotels and they are; Disney’s Grand Californian, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel. Disneyland also has a shopping and entertainment area called Downtown Disney.
